Greenland Project begun.
29 Nov 2006 | ZWO Public Relation
ZWO’s Greenland Project has now begun at Tuithapi Village. 6 workers are employed fulltime and 3 to 5 work on a temporary basis. Workers are now working in full swing to try to catch up with the Rabi season. Project Co-ordinator claims that what we are producing is purely organic and as far as possible we rely on crop rotation, crop residues, animal manures and mechanical cultivation to maintain soil productivity and tilth, to supply plant nutrients, and to control weeds, insects and other pests. This will help to sustain and enhance the health of ecosystems and organisms from the smallest in the soil to human beings.
